What is the price range in your store?

Our regularly priced dresses start at $1,000 and go up to a maximum of $5,000, with a majority of our gowns in the $2,000 price point. We also have a rack of sample dresses available off-the-rack starting at $350 year round at our sister location (Ivory House in Amarillo).
When should I shop for/purchase my dress?
​
It's never too early to shop and get an idea of what you like! We recommend giving yourself 6-18 months to order a dress. Our designers typically ship in 4-6 months and you'll need to allow time for alterations and bridal photos. If you don't have that long, we can always work with any timeline!
What is your return policy?​
​
All sales are final. Ordered dresses cannot be returned/refunded nor can discounted sample dresses. Call or email with any specific questions, as we are always willing to help in any way we ca
Do you have bridesmaid, MOB or flower girl dresses?
​
We do not! Ruthette's only carries bridal gowns and devotes all of our attention to the bride.
What happens after I say "yes" to my dress?​
​
We celebrate and take ALL the pictures! We take your measurements and line them up with the designer's size chart, take your payment (half down is required to order) and then take a picture with our "found my dress" sign!
Do I need an appointment?
​
Short answer: yes! We like to have our consultants working with you one-on-one throughout your entire appointment to ensure a smooth, stress-free and fun experience. A scheduled appointment is the only way to secure that! Walk-ins are welcome but will not always get the one-on-one service we like to offer.
How many people can I bring with me?​
​
We do not limit how many gues you bring to your bridal appointment. We love having everyone that is important to you! Typically, we can comfortably seat around 5 per party, so keep in mind that more than that may not have a chair. We recommend bringing along your most supportive friends and family, the ones who will give you the love and attention you deserve on this special day!
Do you do alterations in-store?​

We do not have a seamstress at our location but we have a short list of highly recommended seamstresses all over the Panhandle to send your dress to.
What is the size range of your dresses?​
​
Our sample gowns range from a bridal size 8-22, so we are typically able to make any size work for any bride and show her what the dress would look like when fitted to her. Depending on the designer you choose, we can order sizes 00-32.
Do you carry every dress from your designers?​
​
We select a curated number of gowns from each of our designers' collections, so we do not have every single gown they release. However, all of their gowns are available to order through our store and select dresses are available to borrow for a try-on before you order. You can request this 1-2 months before your scheduled appointment!
